Forward Deployed Engineer (Tech Lead)

TL;DR

Forward Deployed Engineer (Tech Lead) (Backend): Building production software including data pipelines and integrations for institutional customers with an accent on creating a custom application layer on top of existing data infrastructure. Focus on defining the FDE practice, making independent technical decisions, and establishing the technical substrate for future engagements.

Location: On-site in New York City (4 days a week) with weekly travel to customer sites

Salary: $200K – $300K + Equity

What you will do

• Own end-to-end technical execution of data pipelines, integrations, and a custom application layer.
• Define and write the playbook for the company's Forward Deployed Engineering practice.
• Partner with Deployment Strategists to manage the technical delivery for institutional customers.
• Make independent technical decisions and iterate quickly on production software.
• Set the technical bar and standards for all future FDE engagements.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience building data pipelines and integrations on top of existing data infrastructure.
• Must be based in New York City for 4 days a week onsite work.
• Ability to travel to customer sites roughly once a week.
