What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable GCP data solutions, specifically optimizing BigQuery architecture and query performance.
• Develop complex SQL queries and implement partitioning and clustering to reduce processing costs.
• Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Google Cloud Storage.
• Create Python automation scripts for reporting, monitoring, and system optimization.
• Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to deliver scalable analytical solutions.
• Define and document best practices, standards, and operational guidelines for GCP environments.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery architecture.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience analyzing query execution plans to identify bottlenecks.
• Proven experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for automation.
• Experience with GCP monitoring and observability tools such as Cloud Monitoring and Log Analysis.
• Must be based in Bucharest, Romania for hybrid work.
