Head of Data Transformation (Fintech): Leading the delivery of the enterprise data strategy and coordinating the transition to a data-led organization with an accent on orchestrating transformation across data, analytics, governance, and technology teams. Focus on driving the end-to-end roadmap, resolving cross-team dependencies, and embedding a data operating model to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Location: Hybrid (Manchester, UK). Minimum 60% of working time per month must be spent in the office.

What you will do

• Own and drive the end-to-end data transformation roadmap, ensuring alignment across all data and technology teams.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams, including reporting, data migration, governance, and platform development.
• Partner with data and business stakeholders to align priorities, resolve cross-team challenges, and manage sequencing decisions.
• Establish and embed the Data Office operating model, including demand management, prioritisation, and executive reporting.
• Translate complex transformation activity into clear, executive-level updates to drive organizational momentum behind the data strategy.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years in data, transformation, or programme delivery roles with leadership responsibility.
• Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional transformation programmes.
• Experience working across multiple data domains, including analytics, governance, and engineering.
• Strong understanding of data platforms, reporting ecosystems, and delivery frameworks (Agile, Hybrid, or Programme-based).
• Experience operating in complex or regulated environments.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Manchester office.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or similarly regulated industries.
• Exposure to AI-enabled analytics or data products.
• Experience establishing or running transformation offices, PMOs, or Data Offices.
• Familiarity with product-led and domain-oriented data operating models.
