Software Engineering Professional (Python Fullstack)

Location: On-site in Ipswich, London, or Manchester, United Kingdom. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. DV Security Clearance is required, and candidates must have lived in the UK for at least 10 years to obtain clearance.

What you will do

• Develop and modernise business-critical applications that collate, analyse, and export large volumes of data.
• Work across the full application stack and introduce cloud services and industry best practices.
• Make technical decisions that support project and team objectives.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to deliver application improvements.
• Investigate complex technical problems, including reverse engineering and vulnerability research.
• Work in an Agile environment while managing multiple activities and strict deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong Python full-stack development experience.
• Experience with Docker, REST APIs, AWS, JSON, and Git.
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Experience with containerised deployments using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python and with SQL or MySQL databases.
• DV Security Clearance is required, with at least 10 years of UK residence required to obtain it.

Nice to have

• Application infrastructure experience and third-line production support experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes such as GitOps.
• AWS or other cloud certification.
• Reverse engineering or vulnerability research experience.
• Deep understanding of Windows and Linux platforms.
