What you will do

• Lead technical direction for backend services, APIs, and real-time communication systems.
• Design scalable social features such as conversations, reactions, notifications, and presence.
• Translate ambiguous product goals into clear technical execution plans with cross-functional partners.
• Own reliability, performance, security, and operational quality of production backend systems.
• Implement resilient distributed systems using async processing, caching, and event-driven workflows.
• Mentor engineers and guide the adoption of AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional backend experience for mobile apps, games, or social products.
• Deep professional expertise in C# and ASP.NET in production environments.
• Strong systems design skills for distributed systems, reliability, and scalability.
• Experience with AWS (DynamoDB, Redis, OpenSearch, SQS/SNS, Lambda, ECS).
• Solid understanding of application security, including authentication and secure API design.
• Ability to write effective prompts and supervise agent-driven AI development.

Nice to have

• Experience building real-time chat, messaging, social graph, or activity feed systems.
• Background in trust and safety, content moderation, or abuse detection.
• Experience with Unity and mobile game client/server integrations.
• Expertise in DynamoDB single-table design or high-scale access patterns.
