What you will do

• Lead the technical roadmap and sequencing for the Salesforce-to-microservices migration, defining bounded contexts and cutover strategies.
• Establish engineering standards for the pod, including ADRs, code review bars, and branching models.
• Manage the pod's delivery rhythm, encompassing planning, demos, retrospectives, and technical reporting.
• Contribute directly to coding 40-60% of the time using Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.
• Act as the primary technical interface for the Client's VP of Engineering and senior staff engineers.
• Drive productivity by setting patterns for AI tooling use, such as Copilot, Claude Code, and prompt libraries.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building Java backend systems, with 3+ years of Spring Boot in production.
• Proven experience as a technical lead for monolith-to-microservices migrations.
• Strong AWS architectural experience (VPC design, IAM, RDS PostgreSQL, ECS/EKS, SQS/SNS).
• Expertise in async messaging architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) including idempotency and backpressure.
• Track record of leading pods of 4-8 engineers in remote or hybrid settings.
• Native-level English (C2) for creating ADRs and design documentation.
• Must be based in the Czech Republic.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Salesforce data extraction and migration to relational targets.
• Working experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, or CrewAI.
• Domain background in logistics, supply chain, B2B marketplaces, or WMS/TMS.
• Experience in a technical-lead role within a Series B-C scale-up.
