Location: Hybrid (3 days/week in Oakville, ON or Atlanta, GA)

What you will do

• Translate high-level features and business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, managing tasks, features, and technical debt with clear release timings.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for developers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers to clarify requirements and scope.
• Validate completed work against predefined acceptance criteria to accept or reject user stories.
• Act as the voice of the customer, prioritizing features based on user needs and feedback loops.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure delivery aligns with overarching product initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, ideally within a SaaS or software organization.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid (3 days/week) in Oakville, ON or Atlanta, GA.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, SQL, Python, and HTML.
• Strong experience in backlog management, release planning, and technical writing.
• Proven ability to break down complex features into actionable tasks.
• Ability to travel up to 20% to visit customers or attend conferences.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in GovTech.
• Experience in Project Management or Scrum Master roles.
