TL;DR

MCP Engineer / AI Backend Engineer (TypeScript/Node.js): Designing, building, and maintaining MCP-based services and AI-powered backend systems with an accent on infrastructure reliability, API design, and edge computing. Focus on implementing MCP tools, optimizing LLM workflows, and building scalable automation systems for internal and production-facing environments.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain MCP servers and integrations.
  • Develop backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, and frameworks like Hono, Fastify, or NestJS.
  • Deploy and optimize services on Cloudflare Workers.
  • Implement AI-powered workflows, prompt engineering, and tool definitions.
  • Build integrations between internal systems, APIs, and AI agents.
  • Improve system observability, logging, and error handling for AI-powered infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the European Union or Ukraine
  • Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Experience building backend services or APIs with frameworks like Hono, Fastify, or NestJS.
  • Experience with Cloudflare Workers or similar serverless/edge environments.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and error handling.
  • Experience with prompt engineering or AI workflow design.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude).
  • Experience with Cloudflare services (KV, Durable Objects, R2, D1).
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
  • Experience building production-grade AI features.
