Software Engineer (Java)

Software Engineer (Java/React): Developing and maintaining the Hiring Events production product with an accent on diagnosing and resolving high-volume support requests and production issues. Focus on debugging across distributed systems, integrating backend services, and ensuring system reliability under high load.

Location: Must be based in Mexico (Guadalajara)

What you will do

• Analyze and resolve production issues specifically related to ongoing hiring events.
• Triage and address support tickets in close collaboration with Client Support and GTM teams.
• Monitor production systems and respond swiftly to performance degradation alerts.
• Support architecture changes and system integrations affecting hiring events.
• Maintain and update event logic in response to changes in dependencies and systems.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in React for frontend development.
• Experience with Kafka and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of SQL or MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with build and deployment processes.
• Experience with at least one of the following: Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena.
• Must be eligible for 100% Mexican Payroll.

Nice to have

• Previous Product Manager experience working with GTM teams for prioritization.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf.
• Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity with high autonomy.
• Strong strategic thinking and data-driven troubleshooting skills.
