Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack): Developing and migrating core customer-facing services with an accent on transitioning from a .NET/Azure stack to a Python/GCP-based ecosystem. Location: Must be based in Christchurch, New Zealand (Office-based, 3+ days per week).

What you will do

• Take ownership of development from estimation through implementation and delivery.
• Contribute to solution design, architectural decisions, and technical discovery.
• Design, code, test, and refactor complex frontend and backend components.
• Build secure, scalable services for a customer-facing platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver user-centric solutions.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering roles.
• Significant experience in Python and/or .NET Core, with a focus on Python moving forward.
• Strong cloud experience in Azure and/or GCP.
• Experience developing and maintaining cloud-based services and APIs.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as React.
• Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional, Agile teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working with distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience in previous migration projects.
