Salary: $145,000 – $185,000

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers building operator-facing applications and integration layers.
• Drive the technical vision and execution for human-robot interface software to ensure a robust end-user experience.
• Foster engineering excellence through code reviews, architecture discussions, and iterative development.
• Collaborate with other engineering managers, Product, and Program Management to scope features and track progress.
• Identify skill gaps and partner with People Operations to hire and upskill the team.
• Represent the HRI function in cross-team initiatives and contribute to broader engineering strategy.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering management experience at a deep tech, robotics, or hardware-focused company.
• Experience managing SWEs through complex technical and integration challenges.
• Working knowledge of ROS or a similar robotics middleware framework.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Charlestown, MA office at least three times per week.
• Strong communication and mentorship skills with the ability to develop engineers at all levels.
