What you will do

• Drive execution strategy and organizational effectiveness for the TorcOS foundational software domain.
• Lead and mentor managers and engineering teams responsible for embedded Linux, middleware, and device drivers.
• Partner with autonomy, hardware, and safety teams to ensure reliable system-level software delivery.
• Establish engineering processes, delivery standards, and metrics to ensure high-quality, scalable software.
• Evaluate organizational effectiveness and resolve technical or process-related roadblocks.
• Manage performance, career development, and organizational growth for the TorcOS team.

Requirements

• Must be based in Ann Arbor, MI
• Strong background in embedded software systems and platform development.
• Demonstrated experience leading managers and engineering organizations for complex software platforms.
• Experience with embedded Linux systems, middleware frameworks, or low-level platform software.
• Experience working with safety-critical or highly reliable software systems.
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional execution across software, hardware, and integration teams.

• Experience within the autonomous vehicle or automotive industry.
• Experience with AUTOSAR base software and microcontroller platforms.
• Experience with robotic communication frameworks or distributed software systems.
