What you will do

• Lead cloud financial strategy and governance across AWS and Azure using the FinOps Foundation Framework.
• Manage CloudZero configuration, including taxonomy, tagging governance, and cost allocation rules.
• Identify and drive optimization opportunities through Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and rightsizing.
• Deliver actionable reporting, trend analysis, and forecasting for Engineering and Finance leadership.
• Establish financial visibility and budget guardrails for AI and machine learning workloads.
• Automate repeatable governance and reporting workflows using SQL and Python.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, or cloud infrastructure operations.
• Deep expertise in AWS cost architecture and strong working knowledge of Azure cost management.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for reporting, analysis, and automation.
• Experience implementing governance policies using Terraform or AWS Service Control Policies.
• Applied understanding of the FinOps Foundation Framework principles and operating model.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Engineer certification.
• Experience with CloudZero or similar enterprise FinOps platforms.
• Experience managing cloud financial operations for AI or machine learning workloads.
• Knowledge of Azure Enterprise Agreement or Microsoft Customer Agreement discount structures.
