Salary: $172,500 - $285,800 (USD) / CAD 154,700 - 212,800 (CAD)

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of secure, fault-tolerant, and highly available cloud infrastructure on public cloud services.
• Optimize system performance and resolve bottlenecks for high-traffic services to ensure smooth operation at scale.
• Evolve Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in a multi-service environment to reduce complexity.
• Execute infrastructure upgrades and changes using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to improve scale and cost efficiency.
• Leverage tools like DataDog and Sentry to monitor system health, configure alerts, and ensure observability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers to foster a culture of engineering excellence.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend systems and cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, TypeScript, or Ruby.
• Deep experience architecting secure solutions on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Proven experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Experience with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or Docker.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SQL, PostgreSQL, and data warehousing solutions like ClickHouse.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted software development tools such as Claude or Cursor.
• B.S. or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
