What you will do

• Create high-quality technical content, including deep-dive blog posts, tutorials, reference guides, and video walkthroughs.
• Represent the company as a technical voice through conference talks, webinars, podcasts, and livestreams.
• Contribute to upstream open source projects such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Valkey, and Kubernetes.
• Engage with the developer community via the hirify.global Forum, Discord, GitHub, and social platforms.
• Establish a feedback loop by relaying field pain points and UX issues back to Product and Engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Support to ensure technical narratives remain accurate and useful.

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on experience in a technical role such as Engineering, DBA, SRE, or Solutions Architecture.
• Proven ability to write clear, actionable technical content for an engineering audience.
• Strong public speaking skills or a high appetite to develop a professional speaking presence.
• Coding proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Rust.
• Deep understanding of open source community dynamics and contribution workflows.
• Willingness to travel roughly 10–50% of the time depending on the event calendar.

Nice to have

• Existing contributions to database, observability, or Kubernetes open source ecosystems.
• Experience with AI/ML workloads, specifically vector search, RAG, and embeddings at scale.
• An established presence in developer communities (technical blog, YouTube channel, or active GitHub).
• Experience building developer programs or managing community events and contributor onboarding.
