Principal Hardware Engineer (High-Speed Hardware)

Location: Ottawa March Road, Canada; onsite role

What you will do

• Design, develop, validate, and deliver ultra-high-performance electronic products.
• Own the complete electrical hardware design lifecycle, including BOM creation, vendor engagement, circuit and board design, development, and validation.
• Support products from inception through volume production and continued sustaining after shipment.
• Participate in customer trials and resolve field issues.
• Collaborate with Hardware, ASIC, Signal, Mechanical, Thermal, Diagnostic, Packaging, Manufacturing, and partner engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership or mentoring to a small high-speed hardware design team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 12+ years of related experience.
• Experience with large, high-powered SoCs using advanced silicon and packaging technologies, including 2D, 2.5D, and 2.5D with 3D memories.
• Experience with precision scopes, analyzers, and development and validation tools.
• Experience addressing power and thermal challenges in PCBs with 1kW+ footprints.
• Experience with high-speed, high-density signaling at 112G+ SerDes rates and lifecycle ownership of complex products.

• Experience leading a small team or mentoring high-speed hardware designers.
