Co-Op Programmer (Game Development)

TL;DR

Co-Op Programmer (Game Development): Contributing to the development of current and upcoming Unreal Engine based multiplayer games with an accent on writing software in C++ and UE5’s blueprint language. Focus on implementing new features and fixing bugs.

Location: Hybrid in New Westminster, British Columbia. Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Salary: $4,000 CAD a month for the first 4 months, increasing to $4,500 CAD a month for the final 4 months.

hirify.global Industries is the independent studio behind the successful military first-person shooter game, “Squad”, and recently released "Starship Troopers: Extermination".

What you will do

• Write software in C++ and in UE5’s blueprint language.
• Contribute to the team, gaining experience in many areas of game programming.
• Fix bugs to understand unfamiliar code and learn from experienced programmers.
• Work with the Design and Programming teams to implement new features.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented programming.
• Experience with C++.
• Passionate about games development, playing games, and learning.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine is a bonus.
