What you will do

• Collaborate with art, design, and engine AI teams to create and iterate on gameplay AI features.
• Drive, build, and maintain core AI systems within the Fortnite ecosystem.
• Experiment with game design and make strong technical and algorithmic decisions.
• Optimize, debug, and maintain gameplay AI systems to ensure high-quality performance across all platforms.
• Work on a small, focused team to deliver impactful experiences from concept to delivery.

Requirements

• Professional game development experience, including shipping AAA titles with AI systems.
• Strong proficiency in C++ with experience developing AI gameplay mechanics and tools.
• Deep knowledge of AI systems such as Behavior Trees, Finite State Machines, Pathfinding, and Animation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to drive collaborative development.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal direction.
