TL;DR

Software Engineer (Gameplay) (C#/C++/Node.js): Building and maintaining systems for immersive multiplayer games with an accent on gameplay mechanics, AI, and networking. Focus on creating efficient tools for designers and artists and ensuring high performance across Console, PC, and Mobile platforms.

Location: On-site in Vancouver, BC (5 days a week)

Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 per year

What you will do

  • Write, test, and maintain clean and efficient code for gameplay features and mechanics.
  • Develop tools for designers and artists to optimize content creation pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews.
  • Debug software issues and provide effective technical solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation for code and project materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of software development experience, preferably in game development.
  • Proficiency in C#, C++, or Node.js.
  • Expertise in gameplay systems including controls, abilities, AI, RPG, multiplayer, and network systems.
  • Experience shipping multiple titles on Console, PC, or Mobile.
  • Experience with Android/iOS mobile application development.

Nice to have

  • Professional proficiency with multiple game engines.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest mobile gaming trends.
  • Experience working in Agile, Kanban, or similar project management methodologies.
