What you will do

• Write high-quality, performant code primarily in Go.
• Implement new microservices and manage the migration from a legacy Ruby monolith.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to transform requirements into technical designs.
• Optimize systems for low latency and high reliability under heavy load.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience (5+ for seniors) building scalable backend services.
• Strong engineering fundamentals (proficiency in Go, Python, C++, Java, or Ruby).
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with mapping-related work (geospatial data, map-matching, or routing algorithms).
• Must be based in or able to relocate to London, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with routing engines like OSRM and OpenStreetMap.
• Proficiency in C++.
• Intuition for real-world navigation edge cases (GPS drift, rerouting).
