What you will do

• Lead the architectural design and evolution of scalable backend systems using Go and distributed systems best practices.
• Develop and maintain reliable usage-based billing and metering solutions for accurate event tracking and revenue operations.
• Build integrations between internal platforms, payment providers (e.g., Stripe), cloud marketplaces, and reporting systems.
• Drive technical strategy for backend infrastructure focused on reliability, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
• Establish and promote engineering standards for code quality, testing, and OpenTelemetry-driven monitoring.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance, architecture reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and scaling distributed backend systems using Go.
• Strong understanding of billing systems, metering infrastructure, or usage-based pricing models.
• Solid background in backend architecture, API design, and reliability engineering.
• Strong expertise in observability practices and OpenTelemetry concepts.
• Proven leadership and mentorship experience in high-performing engineering teams.
• Must be based in Europe to align with flexible working arrangements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java and multi-language backend ecosystems.
• Experience integrating with Stripe or similar financial platforms.
