Salary: $72,000 – $95,000 annually

What you will do

• Provide direction and mechanical support to production mechanics to maintain constant workflow.
• Monitor work in progress and ensure equipment repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
• Manage parts inventory, including vendor selection and cost tracking for equipment.
• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and keep updated on new technical equipment.
• Coach, motivate, and supervise a team of approximately 6-8 full-time and 6-8 temporary employees.
• Analyze daily throughput and downtime reports to provide feedback and optimize machine performance.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in South Windsor, CT.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment.
• 5+ years of experience in the operation and repair of production equipment, specifically insertion and bindery equipment.
• Proficiency in electronic and electric circuits.
• Associate’s degree or Technical/Trade School certification.
• Required certifications: 40+ hours Safety Training, 40+ hours external Certified Training, and 8+ hours Safety/Electrical Training.

Nice to have

• Experience in electrical and electronics repair.
• Knowledge of reporting tools such as Jet/IQ.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
