What you will do

• Operate and inspect power plant systems including boilers, air pollution control, and ash systems.
• Monitor auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, and turbine generators.
• Interpret data from gauges and meters to identify potential equipment disruptions.
• Perform material sampling, chemistry testing, and water treatment.
• Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment like cranes, skid steers, and forklifts.
• Maintain correct refuse-fuel levels and ensure appropriate mix in operations areas.

Requirements

• Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs and work from heights or in confined spaces.
• Ability to qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
