Data Engineer (Fulfillment)

Location: Must be based in or near Kraków, Poland; hybrid work with 60% of the week spent at office locations or local sites and the remaining time remotely.

Salary: 20,000–26,000 PLN gross per month.

What you will do

• Create and maintain scalable data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble complex datasets and build infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources.
• Automate manual processes, improve data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for scalability.
• Build analytics tools that provide insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and business performance.
• Support product, data, design, analytics, and data science teams with data infrastructure and technical issue resolution.
• Maintain data separation and security while improving functionality across data systems.

Requirements

• Experience with Apache Spark and Scala or Python.
• Experience with Apache HDFS, CEPH S3, or a comparable cloud alternative.
• Experience with Apache Yarn or a comparable cloud resource manager.
• Experience with Apache Hive/Kyuubi or a comparable lakehouse technology.
• Experience with Airflow or a comparable workflow scheduler.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists.

Nice to have

• Functional programming experience.
• Apache Kafka and stream processing.
