Data Engineer

Location: Bulgaria, Romania, or Poland. A valid working visa for Bulgaria is required.

What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks for APIs, databases, and streaming sources.
• Design data fetching, validation, and processing systems that ensure high data quality and consistency.
• Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and availability.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and fault-tolerant architecture across batch and real-time workflows.
• Collaborate with platform, analytics, and product teams to deliver trusted datasets and production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to data architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience building scalable, production-grade data systems and pipelines.
• Proficiency with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Python, SQL, Terraform, and REST APIs.
• Understanding of data quality, consistency, reliability, observability, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with cloud platforms, API integrations, and event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of data modelling, partitioning, indexing strategies, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Fluent or professional Bulgarian and English, written and verbal.
