People Operations Specialist (HR Operations): Managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle and payroll for the DACH and Eastern European regions with an accent on German labor law compliance and HRIS data integrity. Location: Remote (Europe). Role supports Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.

What you will do
- Manage day-to-day employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, contract changes, leave administration, and offboarding across Germany and Eastern Europe.
- Draft and review employment contracts and supplementary agreements in both local languages and English.
- Coordinate with external payroll providers to ensure accurate processing, specifically applying the four-eyes principle for German and Austrian payslips.
- Maintain high data integrity within the HRIS (HiBob), monitoring records and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and support statutory reporting and audits, particularly within Germany.
- Identify opportunities to improve and scale People Operations processes and workflows across the EU region.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in People/HR Operations with multi-country EU exposure.
- Strong hands-on experience with German labor law, contract drafting, and payroll verification.
- Working knowledge of HR/payroll requirements for at least two of: Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, or Netherlands.
- Experience managing external payroll, tax, and legal providers (e.g., DATEV, Deel, Rödl) or operating EOR relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms, with HiBob experience strongly preferred.

- Familiarity with Austrian payroll and labor law.
