What you will do

• Build and maintain SketchUp models for new and existing laboratory facilities.
• Translate architectural drawings, equipment specs, and field measurements into 3D geometry.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and operations leads to validate model accuracy against real-world conditions.
• Produce renderings and model exports to support design reviews and stakeholder alignment.
• Organize model files, components, and version history for team reuse.

Requirements

• Production-quality experience with SketchUp.
• Proficiency in interpreting mechanical layouts and architectural drawings.
• Ability to work on-site at the Alewife office in Cambridge, MA.
• Strong organizational habits regarding components, layers, and version history.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience modeling cleanrooms, laboratories, or industrial facility environments.
• Familiarity with robotics workcells or automated systems layouts.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, V-Ray, or LayOut.
• Exposure to facility design and buildout processes.
