TL;DR

Group Inventory Manager (Logistics): Defining and implementing the global inventory strategy and governance framework to optimize inventory levels across regions and sites with an accent on KPI definition, safety stock policies, and multi-echelon optimization. Focus on improving inventory efficiency, driving data accuracy in SAP S/4 HANA, and aligning inventory targets with working capital objectives.

Location: Hybrid Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. Must be based in the Netherlands and able to work on-site at least two days per week.

What you will do

  • Define and implement the global inventory strategy, policies, and governance framework to optimize levels and ensure business continuity.
  • Take ownership of group-level inventory performance, including KPI definition (DIOH, turns, service levels) and tracking.
  • Drive optimization initiatives such as safety stock policies, segmentation strategies, and multi-echelon inventory optimization.
  • Standardize inventory management processes and tools across business units using SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, and Finance to align inventory targets with working capital and financial objectives.
  • Support network design, industrial transfers, and new product introductions from an inventory perspective.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain with a clear focus on inventory management and planning.
  • Proven experience managing inventory in a global or multi-site environment.
  • Deep knowledge of inventory optimization methodologies (safety stock, segmentation, make-to-forecast/order).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA) and data visualization tools (Power BI, AI tools).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Must be based in the Netherlands and available to work on-site in Apeldoorn at least two days per week.
