What you will do

• Architect and build scalable distributed applications for web, mobile, and business platforms.
• Collaborate with Product teams and Principal Engineers to establish new architectural patterns and designs.
• Support the full development lifecycle, from discovery and design to testing and live support.
• Lead knowledge transfer and technical development within the squad to foster innovation.
• Integrate security considerations and non-functional requirements (NFRs) into solution designs.
• Identify and implement efficiencies regarding processes, solutions, and technology.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering change to business-critical, highly available customer-facing platforms.
• Expertise in Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud AWS, Spring Data).
• Proficiency in TypeScript, React, and React Native for web and mobile-native development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, Step Functions) and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka, MongoDB, Elastic Search, and Redis.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Manchester, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, Server-side Rendering (SSR), and Static Site Generation (SSG).
• Knowledge of accessible semantic HTML, SEO, and SEF.
