TL;DR

Customer Success Manager (EdTech): Managing relationships with K-12 and higher education clients to drive product adoption and maximize retention with an accent on strategic onboarding and account health monitoring. Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve client issues and identifying expansion opportunities to grow account value.

Location: Remote, USA (preference for candidates in the Eastern region: NJ, NY, VA, WV)

What you will do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at K-12 schools and higher education institutions.
  • Guide new customers through the onboarding process in collaboration with the Implementation team.
  • Monitor health metrics and usage data to proactively address challenges and ensure high satisfaction.
  • Conduct strategic cadence calls, business reviews, and training sessions to foster engagement.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to improve customer experience and influence product development.
  • Drive retention and renewals while identifying upsell and expansion opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in customer success or account management.
  • Must be based in the USA (preference for Eastern region).
  • Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or education-focused organizations.
  • Proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce or Gainsight.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse educational stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% for customer meetings and events.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience working with K-12 or higher education institutions.
  • Proven success in quota-bearing roles (renewals and upsells).
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or a related field.
