TL;DR

Technical Business Analyst (Integration and API): Designing and delivering technical solutions to address business needs with an accent on software integration and automation. Focus on developing detailed technical specifications, designing API protocols (SOAP/REST), and ensuring system scalability and alignment with architectural standards.

Location: Hybrid (Lisbon, York, or Colchester)

What you will do

  • Own technical specifications and translate business requirements into detailed user stories and functional requirements.
  • Design, document, and review API specifications using both SOAP and REST protocols.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and developers to develop and review solution options.
  • Lead collaborative workshops for requirements gathering, solution design, and problem-solving.
  • Manage technical relationships and expectations with third-party software vendors and partners.
  • Support testing activities, including triaging failures and performing root cause analysis on defects.

Requirements

  • Experience integrating complex software applications and understanding workflows and processing behavior.
  • Ability to analyze source and target systems, including functional logic, data models, and data flows.
  • Proficiency in designing robust, scalable API specifications (SOAP and REST).
  • Experience translating business requirements into comprehensive technical designs.
  • Ability to lead workshops and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Ability to understand database schemas and write SQL.
  • Previous experience in insurance or regulated financial service industries.
  • Understanding of Azure cloud architecture, principles, and components.
