TL;DR

MIB Fraud Pre-Litigated File Handler (Legal): Managing a caseload of suspected fraudulent insurance claims from identification through to resolution with an accent on forensic evidence analysis and commercial awareness. Focus on adhering to case strategies, meeting fixed-fee targets, and ensuring client satisfaction within the counter-fraud arena.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Bolton, UK (Hybrid: at least 1 day per week in office)

What you will do

  • Manage a caseload of pre-litigation cases involving various types of suspected insurance fraud.
  • Conduct detailed reviews and analysis of evidence to set and execute effective case strategies.
  • Liaise with team leaders and lead lawyers to achieve commercially sound results.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of case management systems and billing records.
  • Protect the client’s position by ensuring indemnity stances are clearly stated and procedural deadlines are met.
  • Delegate tasks to legal support staff to progress cases efficiently.

Requirements

  • Experience of handling a pre-litigated caseload is a necessity.
  • Knowledge of MIB Agreements is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including time recording and billing software.
  • Must be able to work from the Bolton office at least 1 day per week.
