Salary: $150,320–$225,480 USD

What you will do

• Develop internal tooling to enable engineers to self-serve data loading and testing.
• Build systems capable of handling high-throughput, low-latency streaming and massively parallel bulk loads.
• Deploy and extend open-source data engineering tools like dbt, Airflow, and Superset.
• Provide automation and cataloging tools for data discovery, tracing, and LLM/RAG-based consumption.
• Collaborate with Autonomy and Machine Learning teams to generalize platform feature needs.
• Maintain high standards for software craftsmanship, including versioning and automated testing.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong Python development skills with a focus on SOLID design principles.
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of SQL, OLAP concepts, and Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt and data orchestration tools like Dagster.
• Knowledge of distributed stream processing models (e.g., Apache Beam).
• Expertise in building robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with privacy-by-design, data anonymization, and service account management.
