What you will do

• Define and implement benchmark methodologies and guidelines for product comparison.
• Optimize products to ensure fair and equal testing conditions during benchmarks.
• Execute benchmarks and conduct deep analysis of the resulting performance metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering and developer relations teams to validate test approaches.
• Publish findings via technical blogs and white papers with reproducible resources.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with Python, Java, and Linux shell scripting.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems performance analysis (CPU, memory, disk I/O, network).
• Proven experience in root cause analysis for performance issues in complex systems.
• Experience with benchmarking in Linux VM and containerized environments.
• Ability to communicate technical benchmarking results to external audiences.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience building benchmarking frameworks or automated test infrastructure.
• Proficiency with public cloud environments, specifically AWS and GCP.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Prior experience working with hirify.globalsearch.
• Experience utilizing AI to enhance benchmark design or tooling.
