TL;DR

Junior QA Analyst (Gamedev): Testing and balancing live game content for the RuneScape franchise with an accent on gameplay mechanics, player experience, and bug identification. Location: Hybrid in Cambridge, UK. Must have permanent Right to Work in the UK; no visa sponsorship provided.

What you will do

  • Create and execute test cases for gameplay systems, content, and core functionality.
  • Identify, reproduce, and document bugs, gameplay issues, and quality risks.
  • Participate in playtests and provide feedback on game mechanics and balancing.
  • Investigate player-reported issues and validate fixes for weekly updates.
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary Scrum team to support development activities.
  • Learn and apply QA processes and testing methodologies in a live game environment.

Requirements

  • Understanding of core video game systems (UI, inventory, multiplayer, progression).
  • Basic knowledge of software or video game development processes and the role of QA.
  • Familiarity with PC and mobile operating systems and hardware.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for games development.
  • Permanent Right to Work in the UK is mandatory.

Nice to have

  • Relevant qualifications in Software, QA, or Game Development.
  • Knowledge of RuneScape or Old School RuneScape.
