What you will do
- Manage governance and control activities for complex or high-risk business areas.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of processes and controls with clearly defined ownership.
- Map applicable regulations to business processes and assess impact.
- Review end-to-end processes to identify control deficiencies and drive standardization.
- Lead cross-functional projects as a subject matter expert to design and implement risk solutions.
- Provide guidance to senior management on emerging trends and issues in the governance space.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States
- 7+ years of relevant experience in risk and control functions.
- Advanced knowledge of governance, risk, and control procedures and strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and reporting techniques.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage end-to-end functional programs.
- Effective communication skills for oral and written reporting to management.
Nice to have
- Experience serving as a primary coordinator for quarterly regulatory meeting series.
- Ability to own the end-to-end operating rhythm for risk governance forums.
- Prior experience coordinating reporting and escalations for risk appetite limits and KRIs.
