Salary: $293,000 – $325,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain a unified test framework for device software across unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate test suites with Buildkite, enforce production promotion criteria, and automate regression filing.
• Plan and orchestrate hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) labs, including power, networking, and automated flashing/provisioning.
• Develop developer tools for API and firmware validation, log capture, and replayable bug reporting.
• Build dashboards for quality signals and stability, implementing flake detection and quarantine systems.
• Collaborate with embedded and systems software teams on testability and release infrastructure strategies.

Requirements

• Deep experience building software quality, test automation, or developer tooling for hardware products shipped at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, C, C++, or Rust.
• Strong Linux fundamentals, including processes, networking, storage, and udev/systemd.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and reproducible or isolated test environments.
• Success designing and operating hardware-in-the-loop labs and device orchestration systems at scale.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to San Francisco, CA.
