What you will do

• Lead the Fiat Payments and Banking Infrastructure team to build scalable financial systems.
• Manage direct API integrations with top-tier banking partners and fiat rails including ACH, RTP, FedNow, and SEPA.
• Partner with product and program managers to execute the technical roadmap and architectural design.
• Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers.
• Oversee system performance metrics, specifically payment latency, transaction throughput, and system uptime.
• Maintain technical competency through direct contributions to the Golang codebase.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with backend systems and B2B APIs.
• 2+ years of engineering management experience managing senior-level engineers.
• Expertise in Golang and designing large-scale distributed systems.
• Domain expertise in Fiat Payments, Banking-as-a-Service, or Fintech.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of financial compliance and security standards (KYC/AML).

• Exceptional client-facing communication skills for representing the team to external banking partners.
• Experience collaborating directly with external engineering teams at partner banks.
• Ability to translate complex API architecture and security protocols for non-technical stakeholders.
