Salary: $180,000 - $230,000

What you will do

• Own the roadmap for worker deployment options, including self-hosted and serverless execution models.
• Lead worker versioning initiatives to enable safe, zero-downtime code deployments.
• Evolve the Temporal Worker Controller for Kubernetes to provide advanced management capabilities.
• Define the path for serverless worker execution to remove infrastructure management from the developer experience.
• Partner with engineering to improve worker tuning, resource efficiency, and scaling behavior.
• Collaborate with customers and the community to validate solution directions.

Requirements

• Strong background in compute platforms such as serverless (Lambda, Cloud Run, App Engine) or container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).
• Experience with Version Control, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment systems.
• Proven track record of building developer-facing products where deployment simplicity is a key differentiator.
• Familiarity with autoscaling systems, workload scheduling, and resource optimization at scale.
• Understanding of code versioning and deployment strategies for long-running stateful systems.
• Must be based in the United States.
