AI Solutions Architect (Renewable Energy)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; hybrid office work with corporate new hires prioritized near an office and office-based employees working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from the office.

Annual salary: $137,000–$155,000 USD, plus eligibility for an annual cash bonus.

What you will do

• Design and architect end-to-end AI solutions using Snowflake Cortex AI and cloud-native technologies.
• Develop rapid proofs of concept for RAG applications, operational and process optimization, energy forecasting, predictive maintenance, and asset performance optimization.
• Design agentic AI workflows and interactive stakeholder prototypes using LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Streamlit, React, or similar tools.
• Build and deploy scalable AI/ML models and integrate LLM capabilities through provider APIs and SDKs.
• Implement MLOps pipelines, observability, monitoring, logging, alerting, version control, and AI governance for production systems.
• Gather requirements, present technical concepts and ROI analyses, and train and support users of AI-powered tools and dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in ML or data engineering, including recent production LLM or RAG work.
• Proven experience taking AI projects from proof of concept to production and strong experience with Snowflake Cortex AI or similar enterprise AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, CrewAI, or similar, and with Model Context Protocol for connecting agents to tools and data sources.
• Experience integrating OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Foundry, Hugging Face, or similar LLM APIs and SDKs into production applications.
• Experience designing and implementing RAG systems, including vector databases, embedding models, and retrieval optimization.
• Experience building interactive applications with Streamlit, Hex, or similar tools.
• Advanced GitHub/GitLab workflows, including CI/CD, branching strategies, and code review processes.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, modern ML frameworks, cloud platforms, containerization, data engineering, ETL, and data governance.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, especially time-series forecasting and predictive analytics; prompt engineering; function calling and tool use; distributed systems; microservices; API design; data security; privacy; compliance; and AI/LLM evaluation for accuracy, latency, and cost.

Nice to have

• Experience in renewable energy, utilities, or energy trading.
• Experience with computer vision for asset monitoring and AI evaluation frameworks.
• Familiarity with energy management systems, SCADA, industrial IoT platforms, and energy-sector data.
• Knowledge of energy markets, grid operations, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency with Modal for scalable ML model deployment and orchestration.
• Certifications in Snowflake, cloud platforms, or energy industry standards.
