Principal Product Data Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and define the Data Science strategy for Product, ensuring AI methodologies are central to product development.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to senior Product and Engineering leadership to embed data-driven decision-making.
• Drive the development of next-generation DS tooling and platforms focusing on automation, scalability, and reproducibility.
• Spearhead the integration of emerging technologies like Agentic AI and AI Agents from POC to production.
• Champion best practices in experimentation, causal inference, and uplift modeling to ensure statistical rigor.
• Mentor and coach other Data Scientists and Analysts to foster a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data science with a proven track record of influencing a product organization.
• Expert level proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Deep hands-on experience with statistical modeling, (quasi) experimentation, multi-arm bandit, and ML (Regression, Classification, Clustering).
• Ability to define and operationalize crucial product and feature-level metrics from scratch.
• Outstanding leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing analytical teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Nice to have

• Demonstrated experience with applied AI, including NLP, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Agentic AI.
• Experience working within two-sided marketplaces, e-commerce, or the travel technology industry.
• Advanced programming background for building simulations and prototyping data products.
• Master's degree or equivalent relevant quantitative program.
