What you will do

• Provide strategic VAT guidance on new product launches, jurisdictional expansion, and supply chain restructuring.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to embed VAT controls into business processes and system architecture.
• Oversee multi-jurisdiction VAT/GST compliance and manage outsourced providers.
• Lead initiatives for automation and scalable solutions across VAT systems and data workflows.
• Manage domestic and cross-border VAT audits and interactions with tax authorities.
• Monitor the regulatory landscape, specifically digital economy reforms and e-commerce rules.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s in Taxation strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience within Big-4 and high-growth sectors (Marketplace, SaaS, Fintech, or Mobility).
• Deep technical knowledge of global VAT/GST systems and cross-border transactions.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Workday.
• Proven success in fast-paced, international operational environments.
• Must be based in the Netherlands.
