What you will do

  • Assess customer applications to identify life and disability risk factors and determine appropriate terms.
  • Review medical and non-medical information to support accurate underwriting decisions.
  • Manage customer and intermediary queries efficiently to deliver a high standard of service.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to support clear communication and business decision-making.
  • Communicate with internal teams, external partners, and third parties to obtain and provide relevant information.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory requirements, company policies, and underwriting best practice.

Requirements

  • Understanding of risk factors affecting mortality and morbidity.
  • Knowledge of protection products such as life insurance, critical illness, and income protection.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across a range of channels.
  • Ability to assess applications holistically and make balanced, evidence-based decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
  • Commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.

Nice to have

  • Awareness of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements is desirable.
