Location: Hybrid (Barcelona, Spain). Must be based in Barcelona and able to work from the Gràcia office two days per week.

What you will do

• Design and implement backend services and APIs using Python frameworks.
• Build and deploy containerized applications on Kubernetes within AWS.
• Leverage AWS services such as Clean Rooms and EventBridge to power applications.
• Extend infrastructure as code (IaC) and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture and service contracts.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend software development experience.
• Professional experience developing production backend services and APIs in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Experience deploying and operating services in AWS.
• Experience integrating agentic code generation tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) into engineering practices.
• Employment sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Familiarity with observability tools for logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST).
• Understanding of architectural considerations for on-premises deployments.
