What you will do

• Lead the design and hands-on implementation of distributed systems using Go and C++.
• Own the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for cloud native storage features to accelerate delivery.
• Architect and implement Kubernetes storage control-plane workflows for creation, upgrade, movement, and scaling.
• Build robust resiliency to handle failure scenarios including split-brain conditions, networking outages, and version skew.
• Collaborate with technical leads, architects, and product management to translate complex problems into technical designs.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues across multiple layers of the storage stack.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience building highly scalable distributed systems applications.
• Strong foundational knowledge in data structures and algorithms.
• Expertise in dealing with complex issues of scale, performance, and concurrency.
• Experience with infrastructure orchestration across compute, networking, and storage.
• Knowledge of Linux internals (cgroups, namespaces) and container runtimes like containerd.
• Knowledge of Container Storage Interface (CSI) and managing Persistent Volumes (PVs/PVCs).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building or operating Kubernetes-based systems.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes control plane architecture (API server, etcd, controller-manager).
• Experience extending the Kubernetes API, designing declarative APIs, and implementing reconciliation loops.
