What you will do

• Troubleshoot and debug field issues, tracing failures to specific subsystems.
• Perform hands-on repairs and root cause analysis on mechanical, electrical, and software systems across the fleet.
• Maintain and upfit hardware to improve fleetwide uptime.
• Lead engineering test activities using analysis tools to achieve performance targets.
• Inspect hardware quality and resolve manufacturing or build issues.
• Create and review technical documentation, including drawings and schematics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a technician in autonomous, automotive, or aerospace industries.
• Experience with electrical/harnessing standards and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and maneuver around trucks (climbing ladders, kneeling).
• Willingness to work in a shop setting or outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Candidate may be required to satisfy U.S. person status or citizenship verification for national security-related restrictions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or MATLAB for scripting and data analysis.
• Knowledge of instrumentation sensors like strain gauges, thermocouples, and load cells.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
