What you will do

• Lead engineering strategy, architecture, and delivery across AI applications, data platforms, and production systems.
• Act as the internal subject-matter expert on plant operations, maintenance workflows, and root-cause analysis.
• Translate complex real-world plant problems into product requirements and scalable software solutions.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team across backend, data, AI/ML, and integration functions.
• Partner with product and design to integrate features with SCADA, historians, CMMS/EAM, and OEM documentation.
• Define standards for security, uptime, traceability, and responsible AI in high-consequence environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience spanning energy operations, industrial technology, or software engineering.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in engineering teams or platform delivery within startups or enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise in power plant operations, reliability, or maintenance engineering.
• Experience with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and LLM/AI systems (RAG, vector databases, MLOps).
• Knowledge of industrial data environments like OSIsoft PI/AVEVA PI, SCADA, and OPC UA.

• Advanced degree in power systems, mechanical engineering, industrial automation, AI/ML, or data systems.
