TL;DR
Head of Total Rewards (SaaS): Designing and evolving compensation and equity philosophies to drive talent density and performance with an accent on executive compensation and global scalability. Focus on building AI-forward tooling to automate reward operations and creating a pay-for-performance culture.
Location: Hybrid (San Francisco); Must work from office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (Anchor Days)
Salary: $315,000 - $360,000 per year

What you will do
- Define and evolve compensation and equity philosophies that support company strategy and a pay-for-performance culture.
- Reimagine compensation architecture, including job leveling, pay bands, and market pricing strategy.
- Lead global equity strategy and refresh programs in partnership with Finance and Legal.
- Manage executive compensation and partner with the Board and Compensation Committee on governance.
- Design and ship AI-forward tooling to automate reward operations, improve data quality, and increase decision velocity.
- Lead, grow, and develop a team across compensation, equity, and benefits.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience leading compensation and equity programs in high-growth technology companies.
- Deep experience with executive compensation and working with senior leadership and Boards.
- Proven ability to design scalable compensation philosophies, job structures, and governance.
- Strong analytical capability and a builder's mindset for creating systems from scratch.
- Experience operating globally and adapting frameworks across different markets.
- Must be based in San Francisco and able to attend in-office Anchor Days.
Nice to have
- Experience modernizing compensation tooling using , BI, or HR systems, leveraging AI for efficiency.
- Exposure to public-company readiness or environments with high governance expectations.
- Experience partnering with Finance on modeling, budgeting, and long-range planning for rewards programs.
