What you will do

• Ship new product surface area rapidly from concept to production with high quality.
• Define and implement AI-native workflows for the team using Claude, Cursor, and related toolchains.
• Own and maintain the backend and infrastructure, including CI/CD, observability, and architectural decisions.
• Set the technical hiring bar and lead technical screenings for new candidates.
• Partner directly with the VP of Engineering, Product, Clinical, and Security teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• Track record of using AI to build real products and systems significantly faster without loss of quality.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to make independent architectural calls.
• Founding-engineer DNA or previous experience as a CTO/VPE.
• Backend proficiency in Go or Kotlin.
• Experience with GCP or AWS and production-grade Kubernetes.
• Full-stack comfort with Node/TypeScript and React/Next.js.

Nice to have

• Strong preference for experience in both Go and Kotlin.
• Preference for GCP over AWS.
