What you will do

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and documentation of the balance sheet and P&L.
• Contribute to statutory reporting and coordinate with auditors to resolve queries.
• Review key accounting areas to ensure quality and completeness before audit.
• Optimize financial controls and documentation to build a more scalable operation.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve financial data and platform flows.

Requirements

• Strong experience in financial accounting from audit, industry, or both.
• Proven expertise in reconciliations, journals, and financial reporting.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and their practical application.
• Experience preparing audit support and working with external auditors.
• Must be based in the Netherlands or hold a valid work permit.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and automation.

• Experience in marketplace, SaaS, e-commerce, or high-volume payment environments.
